Project Background

A rebranded and refurbished hotel in eastern Guangzhou

Location and the nature of the retrofit

The hotel sits in Xintang Town, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou - at the junction of Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen, an area with strong business-travel and transit demand. It was rebranded and refurbished from the former Zengcheng Kaisuimen Hotel into a boutique property for business and younger travellers, with 92 guest rooms.

A refurbishment places a natural constraint on room control: it must upgrade the guest experience without large-scale damage to finished interiors. Conventional wired room control needs new cabling - usually meaning wall chasing and demolition, with cost and programme risk quickly running away.

The Challenges

A retrofit, not a new build - installation had to stay light-touch to protect completed ceilings, walls and finishes.
A fixed opening date - the hotel opened in August 2026; commissioning had to dovetail with the wider fit-out programme.
