Every local condition a Colombian hotel project has to clear, already handled: 120V / 60Hz native input, NEMA wall boxes, a defined RETIE path and Spanish documentation — on the same RCU platform we ship worldwide.
Send the room list| Local requirement | How we meet it |
|---|---|
| Mains 120V / 60Hz | Platform is 85–240V / 50-60Hz. 120V is native — no step-up transformer, no derating, no extra failure point in the room. |
| NEMA wall box | Plates tooled for NEMA single-gang and 4" square boxes, not the 86mm Chinese box. |
| NEMA 5-15 socket | Type A / B socket modules for guest-room outlets. |
| RETIE (Res. 40117) | Wall switches and sockets are Class A. We run the CB report across the full voltage range, then convert it to RETIE. |
| Language | Spanish datasheets, wiring diagrams, nameplates and quotations as standard. |
| Spare parts | One SKU covers 120V and 220V markets — one spares stock for a multi-country operator. |
Colombian projects require RETIE, and the certificate is issued per model. That is why we agree the model number with you before anything is submitted, and why the wide-voltage platform comes first — one certification pass covers every market we ship to, not only Colombia.
What we bring to the process: circuit diagrams, BOM and critical-components list, Spanish user manual and nameplate artwork, existing CE / CQC / CB evidence, factory-audit cooperation, and test samples in 120 V / 60 Hz working condition.
| We provide | What it saves the project |
|---|---|
| Full technical file | The certification body is never waiting on documents from China |
| Spanish manual and nameplate | The most common cause of delay, removed before submission |
| CE / CQC and CB evidence | Test items are credited rather than repeated |
| Technical answers within 48 hours | Laboratory questions do not stall the file |
Certification requirements and the route to compliance differ by market. We work through the detail directly with each partner, against the specific project and the entity that will hold the certificate.
Colombia is not one market. What leads the proposal depends on where the hotel stands.
| Region | Cooling load | What leads the proposal |
|---|---|---|
| Caribbean coast Cartagena, Barranquilla, Santa Marta | Year-round, high humidity | Energy, with revenue protection alongside |
| Medellín, Cali | Moderate, heavy natural ventilation | Revenue protection leads, energy supports |
| Bogotá highlands ~2,600 m | Almost none | Revenue protection only — energy savings are negligible here |
This is why we ask for the city before quoting. Proposing an energy payback for a Bogotá property damages credibility; proposing only energy savings on the coast leaves the strongest argument on the table.
Spanish-language datasheets, quotations and technical support are available for Colombian and Latin American projects. Escríbanos.
Tell us the city, the room count and the opening date. We reply with a 120V BOM, the NEMA plate options and the RETIE timeline for your project.
